Curtis Toyota wins £5000 for local charity

Curtis Toyota win £5000 charity payment, to help local community partnership.
Curtis Toyota Ballymena made an application on behalf of the charity to Toyota GB who were seeking applications from dealers within the UK network as part of their 20 for 20 initiative to award 20 dealers in the network £5000 for local charity work.
Toyota wanted to help local charities who had been directly affected by COVID 19.
Curtis Toyota Ballymena were successful in the application and the funding has been very useful recently with the impact of the pandemic in the local area.
Liz Steede from Cullybackey Community Partnership said “ We were absolutely delighted to receive this funding. This year has been like no other with the effects on the pandemic on the community and the timing of receiving the funding has helped us so much.  We have been able to get some computer tablets out to the most isolated and vulnerable in the community to allow them to be in contact with people.
We have been able to get a Zoom licence, offering classes via Zoom. We have also provided care packages in the local community. All in all, just an amazing donation which we were thrilled to receive. “
Jacqueline Stewart, who made the application on behalf of Cullybackey Community Partership said
“ This was a lovely idea from Toyota GB, and we were so pleased to be successful in our application for Cullybackey Community Partnership.
The team works really hard and it is nice to be able to give to the local community, especially during these unprecedented times, which no one would ever have imagined.
We hope that they will find the money useful and hope that the participants in the Zoom sessions have enjoyed their flower arranging, Easter baking and yoga
